About this part
Your pitman arm is the steel forging that connects the steering gear box’s sector shaft to the center link (or drag link, on solid-axle setups). Every input from the steering wheel passes through this arm before reaching the tie rods — meaning any play in the pitman-arm taper, splines, or sector-shaft mounting translates directly to vague, wandering steering. Common failure symptoms include excessive on-center play (more than 1 inch at the rim before the wheels move), a clunk when transitioning between left and right input at parking-lot speeds, and uneven tire wear traced to a wandering toe.
Each pitman arm is remanufactured to OE specification. The forging is inspected for cracks (dye-penetrant testing on heavy-duty applications), the splined bore is checked against OE tolerance, and the tapered output stud is gauged for wear. Heavy-duty arms for trucks include a renewed ball stud and dust boot. Every arm is shot-blasted and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating before shipping.

Remanufactured doesn’t mean used. Every unit starts as a returned core, gets disassembled to the bare housing, inspected against OE tolerances, and rebuilt with 100% new seals, bearings, and wear components. The result is a part that performs to factory spec at a fraction of factory cost — with a warranty to back it up.
