About this part
Your steering gear box converts the rotation of the steering wheel into the hydraulic force that turns your front wheels. On high-mileage trucks and SUVs, the internal seals leak, the ball-bearing rack scores against the pitman shaft, and steering becomes loose, notchy, or unresponsive on-center. Common failure symptoms include hard turning at parking-lot speeds, visible power-steering-fluid weeping from the input or sector shaft, a wandering feel on the highway, and a hollow "thunk" when transitioning between left and right input.
This unit is fully remanufactured to original-equipment specification. Each core is disassembled to the bare housing, inspected for cracks and pitting, and machined to factory tolerance where wear allows. We fit 100% new seals, O-rings, and lip rings, then hydraulic-test every gear box for flow rate, internal leakage, and lock-to-lock turn balance before it leaves the bench. Every unit ships ready to install — no pre-fill, no setup, no surprise rebuild kits.
